Holding the Light When They Want total Darkness: Reiki, Voice, and the Duty to Protect

I want to apologize for my quietness here lately. Behind the scenes, I have been privately advocating for minor children within my family—a deeply demanding path that has brought the realities of standing against abuse straight to my doorstep.

Standing up to protect children within a family system or institution is one of the most taxing forms of spiritual work. Often, those attempting to silence you are acting out of self-preservation, panic, or a desperate need to keep systemic dysfunction hidden. When your voice becomes a threat to someone else's comfortable narrative, the personal and energetic attacks directed back at you can feel relentless.

I’m sharing this now because surviving these attacks requires more than just willpower—it requires managing your energy so your voice stays strong when others try to shut you down.

The Dynamics of Being Silenced

When you expose harm, the resistance you encounter is both psychological and deeply energetic:

  • Throat Chakra Suppression: The pressure to keep quiet often manifests as physical exhaustion, tightness in the throat, or sudden drain whenever you prepare to speak or act.

  • Reflexive Counterattacks: Abusive patterns survive on distortion. Those attempting to protect themselves will attempt to drain your energy through gaslighting, smear tactics, or painting your protection as "aggression."

  • Systemic Exhaustion: Constantly shielding children while absorbing reactive hostility rapidly depletes your personal reserves if you don't actively protect your field.

Reiki as a Shield and Anchor

Reiki isn't just for quiet meditation; it is a discipline of spiritual alignment and survival under fire. Harnessing Universal Life Force energy allows you to remain clear, steady, and unshakeable in high-stakes environments.

  • Sealing Your Energy Field (Cho Ku Rei): Before entering difficult family conversations, legal proceedings, or high-conflict spaces, ground yourself deeply and seal your energy field. Intentional boundary-setting ensures you react from a place of clear witness rather than absorbing personal hostility.

  • Connecting to Unshakable Truth (Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen): Truth exists above family politics and localized manipulation. Connecting to timeless, higher truth allows you to step back from the noise and stand firm on facts and safety.

  • Strengthening the Throat Center: Applying daily self-Reiki to the fifth chakra restores your strength to speak calmly, clearly, and without hostility. True authority in speech doesn't require shouting; it relies on absolute clarity.

How I Am Surviving the Attacks

  • Separating Spirit from the Storm: Disconnect your internal worth and peace from the reaction of those attempting to cover up abuse. You cannot force an abuser to acknowledge truth, but you can ensure the vulnerable are shielded.

  • Daily Energetic Clearing: Perform rigorous daily clearing—whether through dry bathing (Kenyoku Ho), salt water baths, or breathwork—to shed the projections, anger, and heavy energy aimed at you throughout the day.

  • Rest as an Act of Protection: Exhaustion is the enemy of advocacy. Resting, nourishing your body, and refueling your energy reserves isn't backing down—it's ensuring your voice endures for as long as those children need you.

Refusing to be silenced when children need protection is an act of deep integrity. By anchoring yourself in clean energy and unyielding truth, you ensure that your voice remains clear, uncorrupted, and steady through the storm.
